Carol Rose Daniels is Cree/Dene with roots in Sandy Bay, northern Saskatchewan. She is a published novelist, poet, playwright, visual artist, and musician. A second novel, Narrows of Fear, is forthcoming in 2018. Before pursuing her art on a full-time basis, Carol worked as a journalist for more than 30 years in television and radio at APTN, CTV, and CBC. She lives in Regina.
Steve McOrmond is the author of three previous collections of poetry. His second collection, Primer on the Hereafter (Wolsak and Wynn 2006), was awarded the Atlantic Poetry Prize. Originally from Prince Edward Island, he lives in Toronto. Reckon is his fourth poetry collection.
Klara du Plessis is a poet residing in Montreal. Her debut collection, Ekke,was released from Palimpsest Press, Spring 2018; and her chapbook, Wax Lyrical—shortlisted for the bpNichol Chapbook Award—was published in 2015. Klara is the editor for carte blanche, and currently pursuing a PhD in English Literature from Concordia University.
