Shawna Lemay has written six books of poetry, a book of essays, and an experimental novel. All the God-Sized Fruit, her first book, won the Stephan G. Stephansson Award and the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award. Calm Things: Essays was shortlisted for the Wilfred Eggleston Award for Non-Fiction. She writes the popular blog Transactions With Beauty. She lives in Edmonton.
Randy Boyagoda is one of Canada’s funniest writers. A regular presence on CBC Radio, his most recent novel, Beggar’s Feast, was selected as a New York Times Book Review Editor’s Choice and longlisted for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Prize. He is a professor of English at the University of Toronto, where he is also Principal of St. Michael’s College.
Jan Wong is a third-generation Canadian who grew up in Montreal speaking English, some French and zero Chinese. As a foreign correspondent based in Beijing for six years, Jan was an eyewitness to the 1989 massacre at Tiananmen Square. Jan has degrees in history from McGill University and Peking University. She currently divides her time between Toronto, where she is a columnist for Toronto Life magazine, and Fredericton, where she is a professor in journalism at St. Thomas University and a columnist for the Halifax Chronicle Herald.
